Writing on the Studs – Verses

I decided to break this into 2 posts because, well… I have no good reason other than I am doing these on my phone and apparently I was killing the picture post with to much data. Um, oops. So here we are.

This is the detailed scriptures version of this post that explains more of the why and us doing it.  This post is the pictures of each stud for our memory book.

Every stud has a verse.  It drove me crazy that 4 did not have verses. So I did what any sane person would do! I stopped putting up drywall and searched for another hour to find 4 more verses and wrote them on.

Without further a do,  I present our picks for upstairs childrens bedrooms!

Upstairs Bedrooms

1 Timothy 4:12
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.

Colossians 3:14
Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

Psalm 139:13-14
For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

Ephesians 4:2-3
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

1 Corinthians 13 (note: I did not write the entire chapter, just the beginning and some highlights)
The Excellence of Love
13 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

1 Peter 3:3-4
Your adornment must not be merely external —braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; 4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

Psalm 37:7
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Reprove the ruthless,
Defend the orphan,
Plead for the widow.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Psalm 127:3
Behold, children are a [a]gift of the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Proverbs 23:19
Listen, my son, and be wise,
And direct your heart in the way.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-3
Remember God in Your Youth
12 Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them”; 2 before the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are darkened, and clouds return after the rain; 3 in the day that the watchmen of the house tremble, and mighty men stoop, the grinding ones stand idle because they are few, and those who look through windows grow dim;

John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

Proverbs 5:1-2
5 My son, give attention to my wisdom,
Incline your ear to my understanding;
2 That you may observe discretion
And your lips may reserve knowledge.

1 Peter 5:7
casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Genesis 28:15
Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord your God is in your midst,
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

2 Peter 3:18

Matthew 7:12
So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Bou added The Prodigal Son

Girly added Luke 6 and Luke 8

Lady added Judges 26:13 – the Lord is with you o valiant warrior

Missy added John 8:32 – and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free

Mr. Littlest started to add something from Isaiah… And decided to cut it short.  So if I find his paper I can update this 😉

I’m saying Matthew 21:15-16 from above is BabyGirl’s contribution Lol
